I was diagnosed with cerebral Palsy when I was 1yr old and not reaching developmental milestones at the same rate as my twin sister. since then I have tried all the activities my family has pursued including getting my red belt black stripe in Taekwon-D0. After several painful operations, I was looking for an activity that I could compete in while letting my bones heal. I joined a wheelchair basketball club, the paratroopers, and although my skills were very inferior compared to the rest of the team who had been playing together for several years, my coach Mike Brady patiently encouraged and taught me and here Iam! 16 yrs old representing Saskatchewan in the Jeux Canada Games! Géniale!
