My goals for the 2007 Canada Winter Games
My main goal for the Winter games is to take home a gold medal but also to feel completely satisfied with my personal performance. I want to know that I left everything on the ice and there is nothing more that I could have done for my team. Even if we do not win, that satisfaction is what will keep me content.
My personal role model
I have personal role models such as my mom and my sister but there is one story I read about what a father did for his son that I thought was very inspirational. The man's name was Dick Hoyt. Eighty-five times he's pushed his disabled son, Rick, 26.2 miles in Marathons so that his son could feel like he was running and no longer disabled.
Other information that could be of interest to the media
I have a twin sister that is on the team as well and we have always played together and pushed each other to become better players. I think that I owe a lot of my success to her as a person because of this competition as well as from her support. Our appearances, personalities, and interests have always been opposites, but the one thing that always brings us together is ringette.
