My personal role model
Ashley Drover
This is a girl from my home town who is an unbelievable hockey player skill wise. She was my inspiration for starting to play this game that I have became to love very much. Ashley started off playing hockey in our small town with the boys because at her age she was the only girl who played. Ashleys hockey skills has taken her on a full payed scholarship to Brown University, and now she plays with a team in Quebec. Ashley has stayed in contact with me from the first day I stepped onto the ice, right up to this day.
Other information that could be of interest to the media
I am an outgoing teenage girl who dearly loves the game of hockey. I come from a very small town in Newfoundland and from my dedication and perseverance I've made it to my first goal, which is to make team Newfoundland and Attend the 2007 Canada Games. My goals doesn't stop here I also dream of attending university and playing hockey for the Brown Bears of Boston, where Ashley Drover attended. I also have many other dreams for my future and I believe if I keep working and training as hard as I have been I can make it and achieve all my goals in the future.
