My goals for the 2007 Canada Winter Games

My personal role model
My personal role model is a character from a series of books by Robin Jones Gunn. The character's name is Christy Miller; she is my role model because she is very well aware of herself and does well with everything she tries. She is the kind of woman that I aspire to be.
Other information that could be of interest to the media
The community that I live in, North Rustico, almost everyone plays hockey or likes hockey. I am the only one in my community that particiaptes in fencing. I was introduced to fencing through a series of books by Tamora Pierce; they are fantasy but I became interested in fencing. When I found out there was fencing in Charlottetown, I signed up. I attribute my success in fencing to my earlier experience as a Highland Dancer - if I do well enough, I hope to do a sword dance to celebrate!
