My father was a gold miner in Dawson City for many years (President of the KPMA for 2000/2001), our family lived in Whitehorse from 1997-2001. Went to Selkirk Elem for 1 yr and to Christ The King Elem for 3 years. I competed in the Dawson City Gold Panning Championships for four years, taking Gold in my first year in my category. I also competed in indoor soccer on the Remax team for 2 years in Whitehorse, our team took the Gold my first year. The Yukon holds a special place in my heart, with many friends and memories that will never fade.
