My goals for the 2007 Canada Winter Games
I am looking forward to meeting athletes from other provinces as I made some good friends at the 2005 Canada Summer Games. I would love to win a medal in at least one of my events.
My personal role model
Until the fall of this year I had a great training partner Jayne Grebinski. She moved away to attend university and I really miss having her to train with. She was always positive, motivated others, gave her all in practice and in races. She was a smart competitor and a talented athlete and still is a close friend. I am also really lucky to have two awesome coaches, Hal my ski coach and Larry my track coach; they both give me a lot of support and encouragement and they are always really positive. If I ever become a coach my goal will be to adopt their style.
Other information that could be of interest to the media
I only started skiing at Christmas time last year. In the spring and summer I run track and in the fall I run cross country. I compete on a national level in all three sports. I spent the past summer in Kenya training at joint IAAF/IOC facility run by Kip Keino where I met athletes from Africa and South America.
