It is not very often that I get a chance to participate in a team event, so I hope to be a great contributor to Team Alberta...and of course, it would be awesome to come home with a gold medal on top of everything else!
Mon modèle, mon inspiration
I would have to say that my two biggest role models have always been my grandfathers. Growing up seeing the dedication and commitment they have put into their careers, their families and their communities has helped me realize how much effort it takes to achieve exactly what you want in life.

This summer, on the way down to the Pan Am Games in Brazil, I actually lost my passport in the Calgary airport. When we got to Houston, I was told that I had to find it or I would have to go home. Luckily, it had fallen into this secret compartement in my suitcase...You can imagine how relieved I was to find it, and because of that incident, I don't think I have ever enjoyed a trip more in my entire life!! Brazil was a great experienece for me not only to see how my badminton skills compare to players from different countries across the Americas, but it was also a great chance to meet so many other players my age that I hope will eventually become lifelong friends.
