As director of Changing Climates, Alysia is committed to inspiring solutions towards a sustainable future. In 2005 she organized the Canadian Youth Climate Change Conference and represented youth on the Canadian Delegation at the Montreal United Nations Climate Change Conference. Presently, Alysia is developing initiatives to inspire cutting edge youth careers for sustainability while pursuing a degree on Climate Change and Sustainability at Carleton University. She also represents Canada on the International Polar Year Youth Steering Committee.

Alysia has been awarded a 2006 Canadian Environment Award, the TD Canada Trust Scholarship for outstanding community leadership, the Toyota Earth Day scholarship national award, and has been recognized as one of the Top 20 Under 20 youth in Canada.
