My goals for the 2007 Canada Winter Games
My goals for 2007 Canada Winter Games are:
-to get personal best times in all my events
-to have loads of fun
-to meet new people from different provinces/ territories, and sports
-to represent where I come from and make my friends, family, and myself proud
My personal role model
I have many role models because admire different qualities about each of them:
-my Grandma Joan (she's beaten breast cancer and is a kind woman overall)
-my mom and dad (they are able to put up with my brother and I. As well, they help guide me in times I need support the most)
-my boyfriend, Andrew Kent (he is a pilot, is part of the Edmonton Flying club, and he attends the University of Alberta in Engineering and manages to balance it all. When I look at what he does, it makes me feel like I can accomplish anything)
Other information that could be of interest to the media
As well as longtrack speed skating, I also do short track. I love to try new and exciting things, and I never miss out on my chance to go rock climbing, mountain biking, or waterskiing. I take a full course load at the University of Alberta with a plan for a major in art and a minor in physics. Any spare time I have, I love to paint and do other crafty things.
