Mes objectifs pour les Jeux d'hiver du Canada 2007
My goal for the Winter Games is to be a strong member of the Alberta team and to have a good showing. I would love to come away with a gold medal, and I think it is very possible to reach this goal because we have a very strong team this year. Not only are we great individual players, but we also work extremely well together as a team. As for my individual goal, I am not entirely sure what events I will be playing, but I will strive to do my best at whatever event my coaches decide is best, and of course, a gold medal would be ideal.
Mon modèle, mon inspiration
When I think of a role model I think of someone who has made a difference in someone’s life, someone who has made a forever-long imprint in there hearts, someone that is not always the prettiest, or the most famous, but the person who goes the extra mile just to put a smile on your face. My role model is my mom. I have been through a lot in my life and my mom has always been the one person who has stuck with me through everything, no matter how small. haha I know that sounds cliché, but I could never be more serious. My mom is no different than any other mom, she grounds me, makes me do chores and makes sure I eat right, but when I need it the most she says the perfect thing and can make me feel like nothing is wrong at that moment. It's the way she says a joke at the right time and makes me laugh when I’m feeling like the whole world is on my shoulders. Of course she can get on my nerves and be the annoying mom one too many times, but she has taught me everything I need to know about how to be a respectable person and all the values in life that I will always cherish. Everyday I see her go through her everyday routines without complaining, even though her back is wrecked and I don’t do even half my share around the house. I respect her tremendously and all I can say is I love you mom, you are my role model and I couldn't ask for anything more.

In October of 2003 I suffered a major concussion, which not only affected my schoolwork a great deal, but also my sports. I missed 4 months of school, 5 months of badminton and I have not been able to play hockey or soccer at the provincial level as I did before.
Every doctor I went to said that they were almost certain that I would not be playing in the Under 14 Nationals, which was a tremendous blow for me because I had a good shot at the title. I am happy to say that the doctors were wrong and despite my lack of training I went to the Nationals that year. Knowing me my "good luck streak" didn't stop there. While at Nationals I received my very first Toronto blue health card, due to a hospital visit for a little blender accident to my finger. This did not phase my determination and I won silver medals, in the singles and doubles events.
