In my family, I wasnt the first to start judo. My mom did judo when she was my age. She also at one time went to Germany to study judo there. When i was about 10, my older brother (denis:age 12 at time) started judo. After a couple mothes they finally convinced me that it would be fun and we could do it as a family. Shortly after that, my mom passed away. She dided October 3rd, 2003. Although it was a major heartbreak for my family, me and my borther stayed with judo, soon after that my younger brother joined, and eventually my dad even stated to get involved. Now he never went on the mats, but he did anything that he could do to make our club run smoothly. Every day I do judo, and just everyday, I'am reminded of what i had taken away from me, and everyday that makes me stronger.
