My personal role model
My personal role model is my coach, Nadene McBride. She has taught me everything I know about skiing and more. She encourages us, believes in us, and treats us all as equals as well as individuals. She herself is such a nice, considerate person that it has been an honour to learn from her and I am glad to have her in my life.
Other information that could be of interest to the media
I've just started skiing in the last year. I left competitive swimming and was looking for another challenge. Training is something I look forward to and I'm enjoying learning about myself and my potential. Because I'm so new to skiing, every day brings a new experience and it's been really rewarding and fun.
