Mes objectifs pour les Jeux d'hiver du Canada 2007
To help ensure that Team Newfoundland and Labrador achieves its highest placing in the sport of Badminton in its history at the Canada Games, as well as to gain the respect of every athlete and spectator at the Games by performing at my absolute best throughout the entire competition.
Mon modèle, mon inspiration
I don't really like to think that I look up to one individual in particular, but rather I like to take positive aspects from a great range of people around me such as my parents, coaches, friends, and other family members and build my attitude and behavior around the lessons I learn from each and every one of them.
Autres renseignements me concernant qui pourraient intéresser les médias
Initially, I was not even going to consider participating in the Canada Games, as I had taken a break from the sport of badminton for nearly 2 years. However, last year my old high school coach (who is also the Canada Games coach for Newfoundland & Labrador) gave me a call and told me that he would really like to see me make a comeback and take a stab at making this team. At first I was a little skeptical, but after putting a fair bit of thought into the matter, I decided to pick up my training again and give it a go. After a few months of training I got myself back into decent shape and became a good contender to make the team, and after a long tryout process I was successful and was named as a member of Team Newfoundland & Labrador. I'm quite glad I made the decision to make a comeback, because I'm sure this will be the experience of a lifetime for me and my teammates.
